I make my living with tunneling. Engineer loves photography
Photography is my passion since I was 13 years old. I spent my free time in the black and white laboratory of the boarding school, where I developed the films for my friends andproduced prints. I spent endless time in the darkroom, where I completely lost track of time.
Much later I had my own camera. First, I dealt with black and white and then only with slides (my Olympus OM1, my standard film was Kodakcrome 25). It was a very long one's budget and I had to think long for every shot and every acquisition.
I envied the photographers who did not have to restrict yourself. It is logical that at unlimited shooting topshots are much more likely.
Only in professional life fell for me away these limitations. This is followed by holiday and family photos documenting my projects. In underground mining light is always scarce, the air dusty (flash does not work) and photograph challenging.
I had my first digital camera in 1998, and had at that time never believed that analogue photography could ever be replaced by digital. What a big mistake!
Now I move naturally with Lightroom in a whole new league. Again, I forget everything around me when I am dealing with photography. Besides I am a member of the Fotomuseum Winterthur.
