Cerro Torre is a beautiful peak and this view over the lake is once of the best of the mountain, if you are lucky you will get some reflections and alpenglow

Photography Tips

Sunrise is best for this spot with the possiblilty of alpenglow hitting the peaks. I camped nearby for two nights and this was the only time Cerro Torre revealed itself

Travel Information

This spot is a decent hike from El Chalten (maybe 3 hours from memory) and Cerro Torre is often covered in clouds. The best thing to do is to camp nearby at De Agostini campsite (camping in this area is restricted to designated areas) to shorten the walk and get there for sunrise.
