Excellent place to be for sunrise as the water is very calm...and the sun rises above the city skyline (unfortunately my pics are at night)...
be aware that some of the bridges move with cyclist

Take the tram to convention centre ... it’s a 5 mins walk thru the docklands ... or just google south wharf in Melbourne or Webb bridge...
