Australia Castle rock
Set among the Porongorup ranges, Castle rock has spectacular views over the surrounding countryside to Albany on the south coast, with views to Mt Gardner and Mt Manypeaks to the south-east.
There is a suspended walkway that spirals around the huge granite outcrop of Castle Rock to the summit. The Skywalk has two lookouts, a lower and upper one. The upper lookout perches over the side of Castle Rock and requires scrambling over rocks and climbing a ladder.

Photography Tips
Especially in sunlight, the differences in brightness between the rocks and their surroundings are very large. HDR shots with a tripod are therefore recommended. However, it is difficult to transport a tripod out onto the Sky Walk, which is only accessible via crampons and a steep ladder.
Travel Information
Castle Rock is a hard 2-hour walk from the carpark which itself is about an hour north of Albany. Once at the base of the rock, you need to be reasonably agile to scramble over the rocks and climb the ladder
