Australia Surfers Paradise beach
Surfers Paradise is a small part of a very long beach that is bounded by the Pacific Ocean on one side and the lineal development of towns and high-rise apartments known as the Gold Coast running from Tweed Heads in the south to South Stradbroke Island in the north.
The Gold Coast was originally known as the South Coast (because it was south of Brisbane). However, inflated prices for real estate and other goods and services led to the nickname of "Gold Coast" from 1950.
The region is the iconic location for all year round beachside activities.

Photography Tips
You could start by choosing a better time of day. This was shot in late morning light and gives the feel that most beach lovers would identify with. Sunrise over the Pacific would provide interesting lighting opportunities. Late afternoon might have problems with shadows from the high-rise buildings, depending upon your exact position.
Travel Information
There is no airport at this location. I flew into Gold Coast Airport, half the runway is in Queensland and half in New South Wales, near Tweed Heads. A taxi from there to Surfers cost about $60. Once in Surfers many areas can be reached by walking but there is a tram and bus service.
