Australia Mitchell Falls
This is a very remote location in the Kimberley, Western Australia. It is a triple fall with other falls and lakes nearby accessible by walking.
Photography Tips
Take care near cliff edges! Use a wide angle lens. If you are camping then a sunrise photo would be good but that will necessitate a walk over uneven terrain for a distance of 3500 metres. You can walk around the rocks so that you are right in front of the falls for the best shot.
Travel Information
You can helicopter in or drive for several days over very rough roads. There is a camping ground within walking distance of the falls. There is a helicopter service from near the camp ground to the falls. If you walk to the Falls from the campground, you might want to organise a one way helicopter flight for the return trip as it's a very exhausting walk. Take plenty of water and something to eat.
