Australia St Kilda Pier, Melbourne
Iconic location if you want to capture the water and a good photographic feature with leading lines. St Kilda Pier.
Photography Tips
This place is quite popular for those wanting to catch a glimpse of Penguins and see the cityscape from St Kilda.
Unfortunately, you can't go on the rocks to the left of the pier, which I would think would make a better composition.
Bring a tripod, wide-angle lens and ND filters if you want long exposures.
It can be quite chilly here. so it would be a good idea to bring something warm to wear Recommend Sunset.

Travel Information
Not far from the city and accessible by either road, public tram system, or ride share uber.
From the city (Bourke Street) you can catch either the 16 or 96 tram system (this zone is out of the free zone so be sure you have a rail pass).
I alighted off Acland St/Fitzroy Street and walked for about 5 minutes to the location.
