Australia Harpoon on the Cheynes IV Frenchman's Bay Western Australia
This is the harpoon on the Cheynes IV one of the boats that was used to kill humpback from this spot in 1952 till the station was closed in 1978 never to be reopened. A total of 1136 humpbacks and 14,695 sperm whales were caught from the station between 1952 and 1978. Please note I am Anti whaling but feel I need to understand what went on. Confronting!
