Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, Mount Clarence. This is a recast of the original statue erected in the Suez in 1932. The original was damaged during the Suez Crisis in 1956 and this replica was opened in 1964. Albany was the departure point of ANZAC [Australian & New Zealand Army Corp] on the 1st November 1914.
