This was shot at Newport Beach on the northern Beaches of Sydney looking over the Ocean pool toward the headland at the northern end of the beach. A number of swimmers swim at dawn all year long.

Photography Tips

This was a 16-35 wide angle lens that has been cropped to improve the image. A tripod and ND grad filters were also used.

Travel Information

This spot is located 45 mins north of Sydney. There is free parking on Calvert Pde near the bend with access to the beach and a 300-400 metre walk along the beach to the spot
