Australia Chase Range

This is an aerial view of the Chase Range, southeast of Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia.

If possible fly with the doors off. In this case, the photo was taken through the window. Reflections can be a significant problem. A shutter speed of at least 1/1000 second should be used, increase this to 1/1500 if flying close to the ground. Because the scenery is distant, an f-stop of 8 is acceptable. In early morning or late afternoon light, the ISO might have to be raised.

The area can be accessed by driving from Adelaide. It's an easy day drive. Accommodation can be had at Hawker, Wilpena or Rawnsley Park. Flights can be arranged at either Wilpena or Rawnsley Park.
