Australia Uluru Sunrise Viewing Platform
Sunrise viewing platform at Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park.
While this is called the Sunrise Viewing Platform you don't get to see the sun coming up, instead it comes up behind you and slightly off to the side.
However, you get to watch Uluru's changing colours as the morning sun hits the rock.
You can see Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) off to the left behind Uluru.

Travel Information
Entry to the National Park is from 5:30 am and you will need to join the queue of cars and buses waiting at the park entrance and then make your way to the sunrise viewing platform (about a 20-minute drive).
Depending on the time of the year sunrise will vary from about 5:58 am - 7:32 am.
If you have time it is best to check out the area the day beforehand as it helps to know exactly where to park and which is the quickest route up to the viewing platform. This way you can navigate your way to the best spot in the dark (I recommend the highest level of the platform in the front right corner) and beat all the tourists exiting the buses.
