Australia 'Florida' peninsula
The lake is usually dry but in times of flood when it fills with water the colours can be remarkable. This view shows a Florida shaped feature near to the "Kangaroo Tail" feature.
Photography Tips
People have differing opinions about the best height to fly and lens selection. This was taken at 600 feet. Flying in the golden hour is best but low light can present challenges with camera settings. A high shutter speed is needed to prevent motion blur. When shooting straight down depth of field is not a problem so a small f-stop can be used. Settings for the first image were: 1/750 sec, f5.6, ISO 200, 118 mm FL, shot in morning light. The second images was taken in afternoon light. Settinsg were: 1/1000 sec, f9.5, ISO 400, 76 mm FL.
