Australia Beachmere, Queensland

This location is fairly well known to local photographers in South East Queensland. There are a number of trees situated in the tidal flats and during high tide they are surrounded by water. Can be a bit tricky to find.

Definitely the best time is sunrise in the summer months (due to the direction of the sunrise). But be warned, because there is no daylight saving in Queensland you may have to get there as early as 4 or 5 am.

Sunset could also be a good time when you get that violet light after sundown.

Only way to get there is by car although I think a bus runs from Caboolture to Beachmere. Beachmere is about 50 km from Brisbane CBD and 16 km from Caboolture.

Turn right off Bribie Island Road at Peel Road and continue on until you get onto Bishop Road. When you pass Beachmere Sands, a gated residential development, the road will bend gently right. Hopefully you will se a low sign "Beachmere Conservation Park" almost a the end of the slight curve. Pull into the tiny (almost disguised) car park and walk to the beach. Good luck!
