Australia Gibson Steps, Great Ocean Road, Victoria
Gibson Steps is right next to the 12 Apostles on Victoria's Great Ocean Road. The steps allow access down the cliff face to the beach where you can gain a different perspective of two of the stacks that make up the Apostles.
Photography Tips
The latitude of the setting sun varies considerably between the seasons; winter is probably the worst time if you're looking to silhouette the stacks against the setting sun, because the sun sets too far to the north, setting behind the saddle lookout for the 12 Apostles.
Walk about a kilometre east along the beach to catch an unusual view of the Apostles. Beware of the tides and rogue waves on this stretch of coast. Best to go around low tide.

Travel Information
Car is the best (and only) way to get there. There is a small car park on the seaward side of the road a few hundred metres east of the 12 Apostles car park. You can also walk from the 12 Apostles car park.
