Australia Bridgewater Blowholes, Victoria
On the more than dozen times I've visited this spot it has never disappointed. Drive over the last rise, look at the ocean and think, "no swell today." But get down along the rocky cliffs and the waves rise out of nowhere to pound the basalt time and again. Could watch it for hours.
Photography Tips
The coast faces west and I have always only managed to visit in the afternoon, when the sun is facing the shoreline.
Give yourself plenty of time to look around and be careful of rogue waves and crumbling & slippery rocks. Don't get ahead of yourself.
