Australia Opera house from the ferry, Sydney

The world-famous Opera House should not be missed on any visit to Sydney. The popular motif combines a lot of architectural art.

If you take the ferry from the harbor in any direction, you get a completely different perspective of the Opera. Many people use this for an inexpensive round trip and to get a great view of the Opera and the skyline.

Here I chose the more “street-style” version: no straight symmetry, blurred foreground and lots of lines. This brings more dynamism into play and gives you challenging perspectives that broaden the horizon.

Several ferries depart directly from the harbor to the various districts several times an hour. A detailed timetable is displayed at each entrance gate. Payment is simply made by credit card at an automatic gate. The card is held electronically and a barrier opens automatically. There are speed ferries and normal, somewhat slower ferries, which are cheaper. These are also more suitable for a round trip.

The harbor can be reached by public transport.
