Australia Brisbane Skyline, Story Bridge
This is a very popular spot for photographers, tourists and locals. It is quiet and friendly and everyone around you will be enjoying the view. You will start at the top of the cliff which is more or less level with the bridge and then there is both an elevator and stairs to the bottom. The river level has been redeveloped recently with restaurants and bars and a new boardwalk. Its a lovely place. On the night I captured this image a dust storm had blown up from the outback and the city was shrouded in an eerie pink light during sunset.
Photography Tips
From this position, a wide angle lens is good because the bridge is very close. But if you dont have one, just walk along the boardwalk a little until you are far enough away to capture it all.
Travel Information
From the New Farm side of the Brisbane River. Drive onto Bowen Terrace from Ivory or Martin Street. Bowen Tce is one-way traffic only. Parking is difficult on an evening over the weekend so go earlier in the week if possible, otherwise you can park in one of the side streets and walk back.
