Austria Wurstelprater, Vienna
The "Wurstelprater" is the best-known part of the Prater, which is, in fact, a wide area along the River Danube and once was the area for hunting of the emperor and his court. The "Wurstelprater" is something like a fun park. "Wurstel" is something like a fool or a clown, that gave this area its name. The entrance is free, but you have to pay when you want to ride one of its attractions. There are several restaurants as well, the best known is the "Schweizerhaus" (Suisse House). The Vienna Ferris Wheel is also located there, but I'll create an extra spot for it.
Even though the entire area is accessible throughout the year, the rides are closed in winter and mostly not illuminated. If you plan a visit between late autumn and early spring, it's worth checking if the rides are even in operation.

Photography Tips
n the evening or at night, I recommend using a tripod. Else no special tips - but you'll have a lot of fun taking pictures there.
Travel Information
You can easily reach the prater by underground service (U1 and U2), rapid train service and by several Trams and busses. You get of at the station "Praterstern" an you will see the ferris wheel.
You can go by ca as well, but mos times it is not easy to park there, except in a very expensive garage.
