Austria Gritzer Seen
Up there you have a lot of opportunities to find nice compositions, leading lines and views in an alpine landscape. The hike up there takes about 2 hours.
Photography Tips
try to get some mountain reflections in the water, if theres no wind. go low with your camera and try different focal lenghts. Try to shoot in the afternoon, when the sun is in your back. Use some stones, bushes or little grass islands as foreground and find some leading lines.
Travel Information
From this summer on a new hiking trail passes the gritzer seen. This hiking trail is called "2 Täler Trail". The gritzer seen are a part of section 2 of this trail from St. Veit i. D. to St. Jakob i. D.
For parking there are different options. If you do the whole trail with its 6 stages from Hopfgarten i.D. (east tyrol) to Niederrasen (south tyrol) it probably takes you one week of hiking, but you pass a lot of great places along the trail.
Ideal parking position is in St. Veit i.D. nearby the church. Maybe you can also drive a further along the road an park your car somewhere along the roadside, but that's not welcome by the local farmers, so the parking lot at the church in st. veit is much more appreciated.
