This mountain is a popular ski touring destination. From there you have a wonderful view to the Carnic Alps and the East Tyrolean Dolomites. In good weather, the view even extends to South Tyrol.

From the parking lot at Rauchenbach (Klammerwirt) diagonally northwards ascending across the meadows to the edge of the forest where you soon enter a crossing forest road. Follow this in the same direction a few meters down and then in several bends upwards until you reach a barely visible clearing at an altitude of about 1840 m.
There on the left through the clearing which is already overgrown upwards, later through sparse forest to the wide Almböden just before the broad ridge.
A little left to a hay barn in the middle of the vast alpine pasture and from there in a left-right loop through sparse forest and later on the free ridge back up to the wooden summit cross (2115 m).
