Austria Plansee, Tyrol (southern mountain view)

The shore around Plansee in Tyrol, Austria offers many great photographic views like this one, which is the first view of the big lake you will see when you are coming from the west route towards the valley the lake is located in.

If you like to photograph a panorama like I did, I would definitely recommend you to take multiple vertical shots (in my case I took 5) and merge them afterwards in a software like Adobe Lightroom. This adds much more details to your photo because of the higher resolution, but also gives you the opportunity to simply include more in your frame.

The easiest way to get to Plansee is probably by car but it very much depends on the season you are getting there. During off-season, it's extremely easy to park just nearby the street.
Make sure to check the weather forecast during winter because this region is well-known for avalanches. Streets might therefore be closed during some days and leaving the official paths might be extremely dangerous.
