Austria Tuchlaubenhof
Tuchlaubenhof, built in 1912 by the architects Alfred Teller and Emmerich Spielmann on the site of the old Seitzerhof. The new courtyard consists of two parts of the building, which are connected to each other by a transverse wing with an underpass. The two building blocks of the street yard show rounded corners. The windows are grouped together by white ceramic jewelry to form horizontal bands that contrast in an attractive way with the finely grooved plaster surface.
On September 10, 1945, the Tuchlaubenhof was hit by a chain bomb, which largely brought down the Tuchlauben 7a house. A lawyer and his wife were killed. In April 1945, grenade hits caused further damage.
