Austria Bundeskanzleramt, Vienna
The Building was erected 1717 - 1719 as the "Geheime Hofkanzlei" as seat of the State Chancellor of the Austrain-Hungary Monarchy. The Congress of Vienna took place there to give Europe a new order after the defeat of Napoleon I. Now it is the seat of the Austrian Federal Chancellor. At the oppoisite side the Federal President has his seat in the west wing of the Hofburg.
