Austria Austria / Rheinspitz / nature reserve
Spot with very many people in summer, few in autumn, winter and spring. The sun sets towards Switzerland. On the way to the spot you walk through a forest. There are many birds to watch. Ducks, swans and cormorants. Of course also rarer and less easy to observe species up to some exotics. In the larger surroundings there are some lapwings and curlews. It is a nature reserve and a bird breeding and migration area.
Photography Tips
You'll need all your equipment because you'll be able to use everything from landscape photography to macro and telephoto photography (up to 600mm and more). But keep in mind that it will take you either 3/4 of an hour to get there on foot (the path is good and flat) or by bike. There is a driving ban.
Travel Information
Sometimes the parking lot in front of it is very full. Better you come by bike or at off-peak hours. Early morning and late afternoon are generally the best times.
