Austria Wildsee Milky Way Spot, Seefeld, Tyrol
When you are on vacation in Seefeld, you are just a walk away from a pretty good milky way spot! This spot offers a clear south view, with very little light pollution. If the lake is calm enough, you will get amazing reflections of the trees and the stars.
Photography Tips
Perfect time for milky way shots is May to August. Then the center is to the south and fits into this viewfield. Plan your shot by using photopills or Stellarium. Bring a widefield lens with very open aperture. The ground at this spot is bark mulch, so make sure that your tripod stands good. The nearby pear might also be a great location.
