Austria Animal Park Schönbrunn, Vienna
This zoo dates back to the imperial era but is constantly being modernized. It offers animals to see and a mix of different architectures. There are daily feedings, often with small shows. It's worth looking them up beforehand to plan your visit. I recommend the sea lion feeding but be careful as you might get splashed.
The animal park is part of the palace garden. Admission fees apply, and those who want to visit the adjacent palace can get attractive combo tickets. Unfortunately, the admission fee is not cheap.
The area is large, and I would suggest planning for more than 5 hours to see everything.

Photography Tips
As a first step, PLEASE NO FLASH! (also turn it off on your phone)
For lenses, I recommend covering 24-300mm. The distances are very different. Often, photography has to be done through glass or mesh, for which I recommend an open aperture and getting very close to the glass or mesh. Also, cover something to prevent reflections on the glass. Many animals interact with humans, which cannot be achieved by knocking or whistling, only with luck and patience. Have respect for the animals; they cannot leave there.

Travel Information
I recommend taking the underground to get there. The U4 Hietzing station or the U4 Schönbrunn station are good options. If you want to walk through the palace park, take the Schönbrunn station, but it's an extra walk. The parking situation is usually very bad and a parking ticket is required.
