Austria View on Gaishorn from Rohnenspitze, Tannheim Valley
The Rohnenspitze is a quickly accessible and popular mountain in summer and is characterized by its easy hike. In winter, as here, it is very challenging! Great mountain panorama as far as the Zugspitze and the Swiss mountains.
Photography Tips
Use the first light of the day to photograph the glow on the tops of nearby peaks such as the Gaishorn. Pack gloves to make taking photos in the cold bearable. Take enough batteries with you, as they discharge more quickly in the cold.
Travel Information
Attention, please only go on the hike with appropriate clothing and experience in winter. Always have a friend with you and do not go on the tour alone. Bring enough water with you. Check the weather beforehand. The hike starts at the marked point. One route is approximately 5.25 kilometers with an elevation gain of almost 950 meters. At a good pace, you will need around 2 - 2.5 hours depending on the snow conditions.
