Austria Ehrenberg castle ruins

Ehrenberg Castle is the ruins of a hilltop castle on the northern edge of the Lechtal Alps at 1100 m above sea level south of Reutte in the outside region of Tyrol.

Take the A7 to the end of the highway/state border. Drive through the Füssen border tunnel and take the toll-free B179. Continue on the B179 Fernpass road in the direction of Reutte. Take the 4th exit Burgenwelt Ehrenberg. Distance approx. 140 km.
... from the direction of Munich
Take the A95 to the Eschenlohe junction. Follow the B2 via Oberau in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Take the exit B23 Fernpass/Reutte/Grainau. Take the B23 to the state border and continue on the Ehrwalder Straße B187 towards Lermoos. Then take the Fernpassstraße B179 in the direction of Reutte. Take the new Burgenwelt Ehrenberg exit directly after the railroad underpass, at the salt silo. This route is also toll- and vignette-free! Distance approx. 130 km.
