This beautiful view of the Breiteckbahn mountain station is captured from the trail coming from the Schmittenhöhenbahn station. You can see the famous Kitzsteinhorn from here as well as all the surrounding mountains which the Schmittenhöhe offers.

Photography Tips

I slept in the hotel on top of the mountain to be able to get out for sunrise. The best time to capture those beautiful colors and soft light in the photo.

Travel Information

You could hike up here from the city, but it will be long and exhausting. Easier is to take one of the many cable cars and park your car at one of the many parking lots. There are also options to sleep up here over night in some huts or hotels. This is a great option to experience a sunrise and sunset!
