The famous upper reservoir in Zell am See-Kaprun is a great place to visit during the summer. You can do many great hikes around here and experince the stunning mountains surrounding you! There are also a lot of mountain huts you can sleep in.

Photography Tips

Hiking in the area of the reservoir is stunning and there is a lot of different subjects to photograph. We were lucky enough to have the low clouds creating this mood!

Travel Information

You could hike up here but its a long hike with a lot of elevation gain. Easier is to take the busses up here that drive very frequently during spring and autumn (depending on the snow situation in the mountains). To get to the exact location of this photo you have to follow the trail towards the Heinrich-Schwaiger-Haus.
