This view can be seen from the 3K connection gondola from Kaprun towards the Kitzsteinhorn (mountain in the photo). The entire ride is spectacular and I can only recommend taking this gondola!

Photography Tips

Definitely bring a telephoto zoom lens (70-200) to get this compression of the mountain and the gondola in front of it. On a clear day you can even see the cross on the peak and the mountain stations.

Travel Information

Take the 3K connection after you take the MK Maiskogelbahn from the heart of Kaprun. You will need to buy a ticket at the ticket shop in the valley to enjoy this ride but its absolutely worth it!
