Austria Autumn meadow, Hochkönig

The Hochkönig region is a stunning alpine area located in the Salzburger Land of Austria, renowned for its breathtaking natural landscapes and outdoor recreational opportunities. The area is named after its most prominent peak, the Hochkönig, which stands at 2,941 meters (9,619 feet). This majestic mountain is part of the Berchtesgaden Alps and offers stunning views, making it a favorite destination for hikers and climbers

I visited this spot in the beginning of October to get the magical autumn colors. To get the compression in the photo I used my telephoto lens (70-200) which is great to capture the stunning landscapes nearby. The trail itself is also worth to be photograhed. You will pass some pictures mountain huts and in the distance you can also spot some waterfalls rushing down the mountain ridge.

I parked my car at the Arthurhaus (charge per hour) and hiked from here towards the Windrauchegg Alm. The trail is very easy to follow and can be done even by little kids or eldery people.
