Austria Bad Kissinger Hütte

The Bad Kissinger Hütte is not just a mountain hut; it's a perfect place to rest and soak in the panoramic views of the Allgäu Alps. Situated at an altitude of 1,788 meters, this location offers breathtaking vistas, especially in the morning light when the peaks are bathed in a golden glow. The hike up to the hut is a moderate 2.5 to 3-hour journey, depending on your fitness level, but every step is worth it as you walk through picturesque meadows and stunning alpine scenery.

The best shots are captured when the sunlight hits the surrounding peaks at a low angle, so sunrise or late afternoon is ideal. Bring a sturdy tripod, especially if you plan to shoot during twilight hours, as the winds can be quite strong up here. On a clear day, you can also see all the way to the famous Säuling peak in the distance, so a telephoto lens might come in handy for capturing those distant ridges.
