Austria Krinnenspitze
The Krinnespitze might not be the highest peak in the Allgäu Alps, but the views from the summit are nothing short of spectacular. At 2,002 meters, the summit rewards you with a breathtaking panorama of the Tannheim Valley and the surrounding mountain ranges. The hike is relatively moderate, taking about 2 to 2.5 hours depending on your pace, with the most popular route starting from the Bergbahnen Tannheim valley station. The trails are well-maintained and feature scenic stretches that are picture-perfect at any time of the day.
Photography Tips
The summit offers incredible 360-degree views, making it a dream spot for wide-angle landscape shots. The best light conditions are early in the morning or just before sunset, when the peaks are bathed in soft, warm light. Make sure to bring a polarizing filter to reduce glare and deepen the contrast of the sky and mountain ranges. For a unique shot, capture the layers of mountains fading into the distance, especially when there’s a light mist in the valley below.
