The Bayehon waterfall is a 9-meter-high waterfall in the vicinity of the Belgian village of Longfaye (7 km north of Malmedy), situated at an altitude of 510 meters.

It is the highest navigable waterfall in Belgium for kayak sportsmen. This natural waterfall lies on the course of the Ruisseau de Bayehon. The waterfall is located in a deep-cut forest gorge, and there is a walking path from the Moulin de Bayehon watermill.

Photography Tips

Be sure to take camera protection gear and a tripod.
Be sure to have sturdy footwear with you because it might be difficult for you to climb down a small path (about 10-20m) to the waterfall.

How crowded is it there at the weekend? And how long do I have to walk from the car park? Thanks in advance. Oliver

Especially on weekends, this is apparently a very popular hiking spot, so you should be there quite early to get your pictures in peace. In my experience, from about 10 o'clock is to speak of "quiet" only rarely! From about 13 o'clock it is then almost impossible to photograph the waterfall without people.
