Zorgvliet Castle was built around 1860 after the purchase of the grounds by the family of Baron August van Reynegom de Buzet.

The Bollekens brothers, aviation pioneers with an aviation factory in Antwerp, once owned this neo-classical castle.

The castle has been protected as a monument since 1987.
