Belgium Bluebells in Hallerbos

  • Please log in or sign up for free to see the GPS coordinates & weather for this photo spot
Just a few weeks during spring, you will see the most beautiful bluebell carpets.

Photography Tips

Be there early, at sunrise.

You can check https://www.hallerbos.be/en/ to see if the flowers are already in bloom.

Travel Information

There are a lot of parking places nearby around Hallerbos, but the streets to get there are extremely narrow. Hallerbos Parking 4 or Parking 5 is probably a good one for this spot if you are on time.

The best time to be here is very early in the morning because otherwise the parking places may be full already, and the forest isn't that crowded during this time. That said, it's of course better to be here during the week and not at weekends when everybody wants to see the bluebell flowers during the blooming period.

"Lots of parking space when you are on time" do you have a bit more specific instruction where the parking is?

I just marked it on the map for you dear Joerg. I'm unsure if this spot is 100% accurate because it's at the outer part of the forest but if it's correct, the marked Parking 5 should be best. In any case, you need to plan enough time to find a good spot because you need to walk for a while. I would rather go in this direction: https://www.locationscout.net/belgium/652-bluebell-forest-hallerbos-near-brussels

Thank you very much, dear Pieter, for the additional details. If you parked at 1A and walked for 15 minutes, then the spot is quite likely wrong because it's marked very close to 1A. Do you know where the photo was taken?

Thank you very much, I highly appreciate it. Thought so already that this area would make more sense. I immediately updated the position to make sure that people aren't going to the wrong place.

Thank you, guys, I love spots within Location Scout that are well described, with additional information. Especially information where to park - I always think of, when creating a new spot, what others should know about the spot, if they never have been here before in the region. Beyond that, rather than just adding information via the comments, I would love to see when the location itself would be updated. Using the mobile app, currently it's not so easy to read/find the comments. So, the location description is the most valuable place to find information. Thanky for considering.

Good point, I added these details to the description now but navigation to the parking should be available inside the app as well now that parking was added to the map. Making the comments easier available inside the app is also quite high on my todo list ;-)

Thank you, Manuel. BTW, do you have the comment feature on your list to be added for the mobile app as well? Next to reading, it would be nice to create and reply to comments too.

Absolutely, will add that too with the update.
