Belgium Saint Bavo's Cathedral
St. Bavo's is the seat of the Diocese of Ghent. Construction for this Gothic church began in 1274 and it became the Diocese's cathedral in 1559, at the founding of the Diocese. The cathedral holds several important works of art, including The Ghent Altarpiece.
