I saw this spot during the day and I instantly knew, that this would be an awesome place to get back during the evening to shoot the triumphal arch with the Jubeltunnel and passing cars in the front. I think it worked out well, but what I love the most about this spot are those trees, creating a wonderful contrast to the architecture of Brussels Jubelpark.

Photography Tips

There is a hedge in front of you if you also shoot from this spot. My travel tripod wasn't high enough, so I placed the whole tripod with stretched legs on the hedge, which worked out pretty well.

Important: Try to get one good exposure for the traffic in the tunnel and one (or more) for the rest and expose the image while there is more traffic coming on the right side of the street because the cars driving towards you overexpose your photo pretty fast.

Timing: Peter Luxem shows very good timing with his photo. There are mornings during autumn, I guess when the sun rises just between the pillars of the Arch.

Hey Raul, it very much depends on what you want to get. I was there during blue hour and Peters great shot with the sun between the Arch was taken during sunrise. The yellow line on the map shows the sunrise position, the orange one the sunset. The purple marker shows the direction the photo was taken from the spot, so you can already see that it's taken towards the east and therefore sunrise ;-) Hope that helps you and let me know if you have any further questions.

HI, I would like to know if it is easy to do a cartrail there or the place moves because of the cars? Thanks!!!!

Manuel Becker 02.02.2018
Hey Luis, as far as I know that should be pretty easy. I've 2 cars within my image already and used around 15-30 seconds exposure without any issues. Just needed to get creative with the bush I placed my tripod on. But that worked pretty well.

Rather easy location for car trails, but remember there can be heavy traffic which will result in standing cars. So avoid rush hour, And about the bush, you can get behind them and be closer to the edge, that's where my picture is taken, don't know if you still can get there

Thanks mates, if I have time, I'll try to do a small stratrail, and we will see how it seems. Thanks to both!
