The old ruins of the Dzong in Jomolhari Basecamp are a true fascinating symbol of how people back in the days (and still today) were/are worshipping the holy mountain Jomolhari. On clear days, a true stunning scene.

The further you go away from the dzong, the more you can compress the mountain as a perfect background.

Travel Information

In order to reach the Jomolhari Basecamp you need to hike for around 2 days, starting in the Paro valley. The distance covered until here is around 30km and 1.600m elevation gain. Once reached, you will be highly rewarded with the views.
