Cambodia The Bakong, Angkor Wat Archaelogical Park
The Bakong is an early temple in the Angkor Wat vicinity built in the 9th century by the Khmer rulers. It shares many resemblances to Borobudur in Java, Indonesia, reflecting the influence of Indonesian culture in the early Khmer empire.
Photography Tips
The sunset will give you a back-lit silhouette. For the building detail, early morning shoots are the go.
Travel Information
The temple is quite far from the main Angkor Wat temple complex. It's possible to reach there by tuk-tuk but you might find a car a better option since the journey from Siem Reap can take over an hour along some pretty rough roads.
