Canada Lake O'Hara
The Opabin Plateau gives you a birds eye view of the Lake O'Hara area including Lake O'Hara and Mary Lake.
Photography Tips
Make sure you have a sturdy tripod as it is quite windy on the plateau. There are a few different compositions when up here so make sure you give yourself enough time to walk around and find the one you like. I would also suggest camping overnight or booking a cabin so you can catch sunrise or sunset for that gorgeous light.
Travel Information
Lake O'Hara only allows a limited number of people into the the area per day. There is a shuttle service you will need to book but it does fill up quickly. You can also rent a cabin on the lake or tent in their camp ground area, both bookings include a shuttle. If you do not catch one of the shuttles, you can still get to the park but you will need to hike 12 km (~8 mi) to the Lake and then add the steep Opabin Plateau hike on top of that (this is what we did). There is parking located at the entrance.
