Taking the short drive up to Signal Hill gives you amazing panoramic views of the city and waterfront.

Photography Tips

There are several walking trails that lead off of the main historic site, and they provide a lot of opportunity to take photos from different angles and elevations. I only walked down about halfway, but you get very nice views of the city, lighthouses, and some colourful homes by the water.

Travel Information

There are some signs for Signal Hill from downtown St John's, and it's a very popular historic site for tourists. There is a main road that goes up to the site with parking at the top of the hill by the old fort.
