Canada 1000 Islands Observation Tower & 1000 Islands Parkway

The 1000 Islands Tower overlooks the St. Lawrence River and many of the 1000 islands in the river between Brockville (Ontario) and Gananoque (Ontario). It is 400 feet high. Admission to go to the top (there's an elevator) is 12 CAD.

Photography Tips

Use a low ISO and closed aperture (8-11).

Travel Information

Follow the twenty-five (25) mile long 1000 Islands Parkway, and take the bridge that will also take you to the Canada/USA border checkpoint. The checkpoint is beyond the tower, so you can drive from Canada to the tower without having to go across the border. There is a $3 American and $4 CAD charge for crossing the bridge from the Canadian side.
