Canada Mt. Rundle from the South

This spot is ideal for sunrise in the winter. You get views of Mt. Rundle to the north and the Three Sisters to the SW. Best when rivers are frozen, in the spring/summer this spot might be not accessible. The Bow River is at this point usually ice-free, creating mist and hoar frost on trees, to give a nice contrast to the usual Alpenglow on Rundle.

Photography Tips

Bring tellers for close-ups of the Rundle Range. Wide views of the shoreline with ice forming are a great motif as well.
