Canada En Route to Lower Bugaboo Falls

We were preparing to hike to Lower Bugaboo Falls when swarming mosquitos at the trailhead changed our minds. While we always carry bug spray, these pests would require full body armor. On the way to the trailhead we noticed ponds on both side of the road that were perfectly still and reflecting the surrounding landscape so we decided to abandon our hike and stop at the ponds for a few quick photos.

From Golden, British Columbia, drive south on Highway 95 for 63.0 km to the hamlet of Spillimacheen. Turn right on the Westside Road and drive approximately 250 yards and park. The road narrow and there’s no designated parking available so depending on how long you intend to stay, you might opt to park on the side of Hwy. 95.
