Canada Peyto Lake
If you drive the Icefields Parkway from Lake Louise to Jasper, Alberta, there are many many stops you’ll want to make along the way. At some point you might think “It just doesn’t can’t get any better than this”. And then it does. One of those stops is Peyto Lake (pronounced PEE TOE). The brilliant blue water is glacier fed and is caused by rock flour (finely ground rock particles) suspended in the water.
Photography Tips
Most people hike 10 minutes or so to the viewing platform but there are paths to the right or left of the platform that will lead you to areas with a slightly different perspective.
