Canada Peyto Lake, Hike to alternative Viewpoint
The Peyto Lake is one of the most distinct mountain lakes in the world, shaped like a wolf, bear or whatever animal you see in that. Its glacial water makes it appear super blue and its surrounded by amazing mountains.
Photography Tips
When possible, frame the lake with beautiful leaves around to give the photo a specific vibe.
Travel Information
This place can get super crowded, even with the new parking system in place (as of 2024). Arrive there early or late to beat the crowds. Try to avoid the viewing platform (Bow summit). If you turn left shortly before and follow some minor trails, you will find amazing alternative viewpoints. Some hiking maps as e.g. MapOut has them as marked trails.
