The southern end of Lake Abraham is still a hidden gem (except in winter times). You will find a beautiful area all around this rustic camping off the beaten path. The submerged forest is about to die, however there are still some trees with leaves magically being surrounded by water.

Photography Tips

Find a leading line through the line of forests into the direction of the mountain. If you fly here, expose for the highlights since it's best to take the shots at some "harsher" light to get the beautiful shadows of the trees. If you have, put a ND-Pol filter on your drone to decrease reflections.

Travel Information

In order to camp here (which is super nice!), you need to purchase a year-pass. The costs for this is 30 CAD and you can enter these campground as many times as you want. If you just want to park and take photos, this is free of charge.
